Neil’s Kitchen comfort food and calming interior moved yet motivated me. Will come back for more.
I was quite overwhelmed the following weeks that led me to be exhausted, give up and just sleep, as in all day. I know I have so many things to do, still, too vague on where I will start.
It’s not my thing as I always anticipated with lot of gusto and enthusiasm.
When I was browsing my Instagram account, I came to bump in Pursuit gathering and best part, they will do it in the south.
I signed up for the reason I have to pick up again my pieces, that is to be inspired and focus to what I did best in this everyday’s life. This is an answer for me to reflect. I have to do this. If not I will be doomed for the rest of my life.
Best part, when I was checking our venue, I got also a lot of positive reviews to my fellow foodies which made me also excited to get up on that very, as in, very lazy Saturday weekend.
Neil’s kitchen located in Westgate Alabang is an inspired quaint Santorini white draft outside and inside interior.
Those mason jars at the ceiling and trinklets are soo loved that made a dining vibe so peaceful.
I love also those food quotes as these were scattered the surrounding that made all of it Instagram perfect. I need this break, truly inspiring for me.
As a starter, colorful tacos were served to us complimented by this tomato based salsa dip which I cannot get over because of its freshness – thick not watery.
For the main meal, we got a huge servings of Carbonara and Chicken Barbecue.
Definitely, I go for Chicken Barbecue. Succulent not dry yet the moist is very visible once you tasted it. This serving is soo heavy and lot of carbo loading.
The Carbonara is not that too creamy. Still, flavor is balance.
Their specialty and not to be missed is the Sinigang Paella with Grilled Pork Belly – an innovative way to cook sinigang.
This is my first time to taste the sour combination of rice and sinigang put in one plate.
It is an ingenious yet inventive way to have a twist with our traditional Filipino dish.
Ending this hearty meal with also a hearty dessert – Fried Suman and Mango topped with Chocnut and drizzled with coconut cream.
Have to order a coffee just to make this meal so complete and decadent. Again, its a flourish Filipino delicacy that blends very well.
With the set of passion card that gave to us during the Pursuit gathering especially the people that were so warmed welcoming each one of us, again my spirit once again rekindled.
Especially if the comfort food that was served us also during the gathering, truly I was moved yet motivated again to face the reality of life.
Will definitely go back with the family around me.
