Food needs to taste good, it also needs to look good as I was impressed how Kessaku style their food dramatically.
We’ve gone thru Commerce Center, Alabang before where we tried the Bikram Yoga last year. We did not explore more on the area as we still ate our snacks in Alabang Town Center or in Filinvest aside from the malling and grocery that is accesible around.
It’s little in our knowledge that Kessaku is just around the corner as this Japanese restaurant is bursting a food offering that is authentic in flavor yet upscale in terms of food presentation and creating a fusion on its own.
I know I still have my control on what I eat nowadays, still, the preferences on the food to taste depends on the quantity and quality I intake.
Like for example, Sunburst Salad which highlight the tiger prawns around with veggies and fruits made it exquisite in nature. The vinaigrette complemented the freshness to each its own.
Mango – Pineapple topped with cherry shake is a sweet concoction that goes along with this seafood salad.
I like the idea also of putting all servings in this kind of decorative ceramic clay plates, utensils then iron pot to hot dishes that makes it truly an authentic Japanese experience.

Difference is the toppings of meat fish aside from the common mango which blended well on the sweetness and softness of flying fish.
Texture, its glow and subtle taste of Spider Roll and Maguro make it irresistible to use that chopstick to pick it up considering it has an inventive and innovative seafood combination in one roll.
Unagi which has an eel and fattened duck rolled in seaweed is also a must-try. Someone would think it has this fishy taste, still it has a tangy kick that make it enticing to droll.

Wait when you see this irresistible Symphony which is a big sushi rice that dominated the whole plate which honestly I don’t like to knock it down to eat – too picture perfect for me.
I know I am too full even it took a small bite of each serving. Still, its ingredients harmonized to our taste palate.
The Tantamen Ramen is a comfort food on its own as one sips on its broth with those luscious crunchy veggies.
Cha – Han and Mixed Kamameshi are also a huge healthy meal – Japanese sticky rice meal which is overload of veggies and viand like beef. Hope they can find a way to make it not too oily to complement more its taste to veggies and viand use.
Glad to see Shishamo or Smelt Fish with eggs which is rich in Omega-3 oil . It is like I am eating a pregnant fish with a mild grainy succulent texture in taste. I still dip them in tempura sauce to compliment the taste of fish egg.
Tempura like Tiger Prawns. Soft Crabs and Fried Oysters which were huge in serving are a bite of crispiness. I am still looking on the juicy part of each seafood served which was not quite visible in taste on that night.
They have to also drip more its frying oil or let it rest before they serve it to lessen those taunt or “uyam” taste.
One of my favorite dishes in chicken is barbeque which made Chicken Yakitori achieved the marinated yet tender and freshness taste.
The interior of the place is secluded with privacy which made the modern ambiance comfortable and delightful to every person who will dine in.
I have already recommend this to my son who is planning to have a date which is near the south. Just what I share to him, its a best quiet place with romantic stories and talks to share.
