Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Cookies and Pizza

Let your stomach be your guide!

Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf (CBT) will always be near to my heart – from their tea, desserts, cookies, salads, pasta, breads and breakfast. As in! Most of my client meetings were always held in their coffee shop. I love how serene the place is considering all branches were also WIFI enabled. Actually, most of my successful dealings ended up here.

Anyway, it was late morning then that I got a client call  and nearest that we can meet was at CBT’s branch at Shangri-La Plaza.  That day was so disastrous.  I was late in the meeting because the bus broke down in the middle of the road and then was caught in a heavy traffic.

I was too stressed at that time that I cannot think straight to start my meeting.

To beat it up, I like my stomach to be my guide in food choices.

Luckily, all the staffs greeted me with those smiles were very accommodating and friendly that they suggested to try pizza or their new cookie offering.

I have already tried all their cookies. Name it, from  Chocolate Chips, Oatmeal Raisin and what I missed here was the White Chocolate Macadamia. All of them were freshly baked, moist and chewy. Price each is P 55.00.

The Chocolate Raspberry Cookie is the new offering of CBT for Valentine’s day.

The verdict?

Aside that the color has a shade of red, it is a chunk of big cookie swirled with raspberry and the sweetness of chocolate.

I am excited on the first bite because the texture is wonderful, soft and light. It was actually a blissful feeling for me since I was bit stress at that time.  This cookie is simply divine!

Another first time for me was the taste of their Veggie pizza. Maybe my motto at the time in ordering this one –  “Go Fit and Be Healthy”!  LOL!

The same with their cookie, it was a huge slice that I only ate the first slice and bought the other one at home. Love the crispiness as the red sauce spiciness is just enough to enjoy those veggies. Maybe next time they can topped more cheese to make it tastier.

I think my tea was the African Sunrise at that time.  Basically the partner with my cookie and pizza were just enough.  But it is more satisfying though if one has to sipped it with coffee as recommended by the staffs.

Hopefully, they retain the Chocolate Raspberry Cookie as this one add up to my favorite comfort food here in CBT.  I would come back for the other pizza flavor.

Thank God, my morning ended up with a smile as my stomach and meeting were both fulfilled!
