Hopping from one restaurant to another with Solaire Resort even I felt again I was already in comma is one of the grandest event I can put for scrumptious food adventure.
With the next opportunity to visit Solaire for their 2nd anniversary via Zomato, I readily said yes even I knew then I will be late because of client meeting. I know I was taking a risk because there were tendencies the meeting will be prolong to finished and ended up not attending the said food visit.
Why? Because I envied by the posts done by my kiddo here and hubby here that made me really enthusiastic to visit these restaurants. That time, they visited two but now, it would be six (6) restaurants for me.
I know I was still late and missed the first one.
First Stop: Finestra
They served Saltimbocca Alla Sorrentina
Second Stop: Waterside Restobar
An open kitchen specialized in Mediterranean – Latin type cuisine, huge serving called Surf & Turf that has out-of-the-grilled menu where I feasted more on salmon, big prawns, a little bit of Hanger Steak then Pork Ribs.
Side dishes are also available to complement the main meal like the Coleslaw, Potato Carbonara, Humita (ground corn), Asparagus Salad and Mango Salad which definitely I indulge more of it. All are comforting and balance each diet with the add up of those infused yet extra-ordinary vegetable and fruits .
Paella Valenciana is mixed with chicken, seafood, some veggies topped with sliced egg and lemons around. Not dry but soo flavorful and this alone can be a meal on its own.
My Plate:
Third Stop: Oasis Garden Cafe
Flora and fauna inspired with back draft interior of water and plants around, what better way to diffused those hearty eating is to have a tea and desserts at Oasis Garden Cafe.
If you are following me in my Instagram account, I am certified tea lover – 5x times in a day as I collected different brands and variants to taste and substitute it with coffee intake. Definitely, I love this sanctuary especially they are brewing fresh tea leaves.
Three kinds of square cakes were served to us:
- Butter scotch macaron cake is layers of almond caramel filled with caramel and butterscotch parfait, roasted almonds
- Blondies with roasted mango and avocado
- Strawberry chiffon cake is red velvet cake, vanilla mascaporne filling topped with fresh strawberries
Two kinds of tea:
- Early Grey
- Passion Green Tea
I got a spoonful taste of each cakes. What I can say all were divine, heavenly in taste.
My plate:
I ended up getting this Strawberry Chiffon Cake as those fresh strawberries taste well with the softness yet fluffy best moist red velvet cake I ever tasted.
Passion Green Tea is best for me in this afternoon delight.
Fourth Stop: Red Lantern
I was already A-ok and fully complete with my appetite for those two restaurants we just gone by. Still, the idea of exploring the interiors of each restaurant was a grandeur culinary experience especially when I entered in Red Lantern Chinese restaurant.
The Wuxi Braised Ribs in red sauce is too sweet in my taste palate. Find those meat really too soft that I cannot find the juciness within.
Fifth Stop: Yakumi
Yakumi Japanese offering is the Ehou Maki which considered to be a lucky sushi roll comprised of seven (7) ingredients. Huge sushi roll and according to the chef, one has to eat it whole.
Super huge! That one piece cannot even fit to my mouth.
My plate:
Have settled first to Ehou Maki smaller version which you see on my plate. All fresh and finest ingredients once tasted were very, very visible.
This was also my first time to see fresh wasabi root crop which I put a little, mixed it with my sauce and dipped it. Amazing that it is not spicy compared to the traditional powdered one.
The mint flavor yet blant taste of the tea is the best partner for this maki.
Sixth Stop: The Strip Steakhouse
Premium steak house here in Solaire Resort with a pile of wines up to the ceiling that made an impressive entrance.
What the chef prepared for us is the Pastrami-Spiced Black Angus Beef Short Ribs. Four days to be prepared those slab of meat like marinating putting all those spices.
He also gave a demonstration in plating it which was meticulously presented to make this meal appetizing to eat.
My plate:
Those ribs served was mouthwatering yet succulent in taste which always best with those creamy mashed potatoes together with grilled carrots and tomatoes. Now I was looking for a red or white wine to complete the whole meal.
Overall, I love this culinary tour around Solaire Resort best restaurant around.
Hopping from one restaurant to another even I felt again I was already in comma is one of the grandest event I can put for scrumptious food adventure.
One of the catchy yet momentous scene was to see also the famous Manila sunset right on the middle before the night ended.
Now I know why hubby and kiddo put this food trip the most enjoyable one which now I shared the same feeling. Til next!
