Quite intrigued when I saw the newest TV advertisement of McDonald’s Philippines that made me literally try and go to the nearest branch.

Actually, here in Roces Avenue in Quezon City, sprouting of the said fastfood chain branches are a lot, as in every corner of it. I just found out from a taxi driver that the first store was set-up here and the main branch is just near the area.

The chicken meal package comes with mushroom soup and drinks for only P 99.00.

For the taste, much bigger, crispier and flavorful that made a chicken lover like me become this my fave among the fastfood chains who are offering it. Definitely, its damn delicious.

For the mushroom soup, creamier in taste and thick in texture. Slurping even in a hot weather like this is a comfort food on its own – zesty yet buttery.

The commercial that I saw also is gaining buzz in social media nowadays.

My recall is more on the chicken.

When I watched it last night via YouTube, I realized that the ladies featured there have the same names which is Joy.

As of this posting, the TVC has already gained more than 278,000 views, 4,200 reactions and 4,400 shares on Facebook alone.

Trending? Viral? See for yourself as I find it really, really cute as I watched it twice. Arggghhh, after that, now I was craving again to the max and like to dial their delivery hotline even at night.

Since the name “Joy” brings so much vibrance and energy, McDonald’s wants to treat and her friend to a “Day of Joy” – #PaChickenMcDoForJoy.

Last April 22, an atmosphere of joy was present in close to 30 participating stores across Metro Manila as thousands of Joys flocked to savored the new and improved Chicken McDo that made juicier and tastier with just the right crunch.

Right at their table served a marinated, breaded, and fried to a golden perfection, that made each dining moments satisfying. This is best paired either with fries, corn cup or my fave Creamy Mushroom Soup, and a regular drink.

For only 48 hours to drive awareness for #PaChickenMcDoforJoy, McDonald’s saw impressive numbers on social—two million total interactions on Facebook and 200,000 total interactions on Twitter.

The total earned mentions for Chicken McDO increased 12,000 percent compared to daily average. Several hashtags related to McDonald’s trended organically as the event was ongoing such as #PaChickenMcDoforJoy.
