Reserving a seat online at NIU by Vikings made more easy with ResDiary Application.

It was a weekend sudden invite that led me and hubby to visit NIU by Vikings in SM Aura.  We were also invited at Nuffnang’s Blogopolis awarding night which made us choose between the two.

Since this would be the first time hubby would go to NIU by Vikings, then I encourage to pick it for him to compare the traditional Vikings he and son always attended.

To those who are new with NIU by Vikings like hubby:

NIU which means nine is the ninth buffet store of Vikings group with the edge of lavish yet contemporary decorative space tapped with luxurious variety of international and local cuisines served in buffet style.  New flavors yet the finest dining experience that led each guest an ambiance of grandeur and comfort.  

Part of experiencing a pleasure of eating to those distinctive selection of food  is introducing to the diners like us  the launching of  NIU by Vikings and Govago’s ResDiary  online restaurant booking system that would efficiently accommodate, manage its reservations and maximize the engagement.

During the presentation, I have the chance to open the ResDiary application – a booking widget that can be added to the restaurant’s website, Facebook page or Twitter account.

These can be either:

• NIU website, http://niu.ph and click Reserve Now on the right side of the screen.
• Facebook Page where one can click the Book Now button and will lead to NIU website.

Once done, you can choose if its lunch or dinner, no. of persons,  the date for reservation then click Book Here.

Funny, since I choose dinner, it still displays the time which is 5:30.  I thought it would allow me to change the time but it’s not.

Enter all the details like title, Name, Mobile Number and Email address.

After that, it would verify all the details and once all are correct, click the confirm button.    All you entered is all sent to your email address and subject again for confirmation.

I find it user-friendly but didn’t test it.  LOL! Actually, its part of my work as an I.T. Consultant to make sure all those web based application that coming to us for evaluation were fully tested by creating test scripts and part of it is entering those negative entries to see if its accepted or not.  Itchy to try  but still, I don’t do it.

Anyway, I am on the trust that ResDiary is A-ok since they are already visible in more than 4,500 restaurants with 17 countries around.

After the presentation, I was able to tour around different food stations while hubby was busy then getting those pictures.

In a buffet style, my plates would always be full of  Japanese fresh like sushi, sashimi,  salmon and tuna.

For seafood, I make it a point to pick my own for them grilled like shrimps, crab, oyster or fish like cream dory.

Please don’t wait for it.  Just tell them your seat location and will deliver it hot in front of you.

For soup, have requested Lobster in miso soup even I love to try their Shabu-Shabu selection.

I was quite craving for Filipino Food like this puto bumbong which was cooked and served to me hot.

Have picked some of my fave desserts like this strawberry selections and slice of green tea cake.  Have also enjoyed those yogurt where I drizzled it with chocolate and fruits toppings.

For the drinking station, choice of different refreshing juices, wines, draft beer and even Sake (Japanese wine) to choose from. Oh, lot of selection of Twinnings tea here which I drink in between my meal or while chilling out. From there, I was getting ready for another food attack. LOL!

One of my fave is the Carving Station – from rib eye, roast beef, lamb, turkey and even belly lechon.  Always medium rare for me on the roast beef.   I am in the process of arranging my plate for photo but the staff put a lot of roast beef in the middle.  Anyway, it is just okay.  I still enjoyed those succulent servings with red wine.

Hubby also told to the staff if its ok to serve me a birthday cake.  LOL! Is this a week long celebration?  Anyway, they are too attentive to do it ASAP as again for nth time, I still enjoyed blowing a cake.

Abrupt, not intentional, whatever it is, a sweet unplanned impromptu activity like this is sometimes the best of everything as me and hubby enjoyed my weekend night with such a bliss of blessings of bonding with bountiful food around especially celebrating a post birthday festivity at NIU by Vikings.

According to ResDiary, there are plans to aggressively expand it in the Philippines targeting about 300 local restaurants by end of 2015.

As a foodie like me, will definitely anticipate it.
