With Lock & Lock newest cookware, cooking makes our lives more easier when preparing our meals.
From elementary up to college, as in until now, my kiddos’ fave airtight container for snack / lunch would be Lock & Lock. That also goes with me as I also bring this container to seal the freshness of the food especially if there are sauces I like to preserve. It stays for us for more than a year or if not, it will stay for us forever as long we can use it. Gamit na gamit. LOL!
When I found out that Lock & Lock will launch its own cookware and glassware lines, I headed up to Museum Cafe Makati to witness it.
How, a plastic can be use for cooking?
Called the CookPlus and Glass line offers a wide variety of products suited to different cooking and presentation needs. Aside from this, all the products are made of top class materials that promise durability, corrosion-resistance, constant brilliance, and long lasting non-stick coating for its cookware.
It is perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) free, which is a man-made chemical not naturally present in the environment. Most non-stick cookware have this chemical for better cooking quality. However, PFOA is transferred from the cookware to food, which puts people’s health at risk. Lock & Lock’s CookPlus line has found an innovative way to remove this chemical from its products while still providing its users quality cooking experience.
It is made of high quality ceramic which makes it easier for the product to conduct heat. This allows food to cook at a shorter amount of time and requiring less oil needed for cooking.
To demonstrate, Chef Kalel cooked for us using CookPlus like this Pad Thai and Coconut Milk Dish.
For the glass line, this is made from borosilicate glass where one can literally baked out of it. This chocolate cake is straight from the glass container wherein it was baked using the Lock & Lock glass line.
It is also presentable on the dining table once it is ready to serve and eat.
With the expansion in innovating Lock & Lock products, definitely cooking is more fun, fun.
Can’t wait to try this at home and will surely share my recipe with the use of these new cookwares.
