True to its word, UCC’s good coffee really smile which made someone also smile once tasted.

It was a long time when me and a partner in consultancy training got a meet-up.    Usually, after the training, we will be having a great lunch ending it up with coffee and dessert.  It really pays off if one would take time to break  after those long talking and standing.  It was a breeze actually!

Anyway, since I am back with technical project and seldom that I see her, what we did is to have a simple meet-ups.  Since we are craving for desserts after a hearty meal at Santouka, our choice would be UCC Park Cafe located in the middle of Glorietta circle.

I love how UCC served their coffee using siphon coffee maker or known to others as vacuum coffee and mascuvado as sugar for healthy alternative.

Why not stick to ordinary coffee maker?

Maybe because UCC like to serve it with lot of fragrance and aroma as the machine vapor those pressure and produce coffee with all those freshness.

The thing is, my colleague warned me that the coffee is too strong which is tendency I would palpitate later.  Anyway, I know my tolerance with coffee so it is just ok.   Honestly, she is right.  I was awake til night and she advised me to drink lot of water.  LOL!

There were wide selections of  desserts to choose.

We opted for fruit desserts like the Apple Pie and looking for their famous Banana Carrot Cake which was not available at that moment.   Instead, I picked  those fluffy Japanese Cake as an option.

The Apple Pie is luscious, big in serving yet rich in taste with lots of apple chunks around. Hubby love this dessert and it would be a recommendable one once he is in the metro to try this.

This creamy Japanese cake is soft in texture which is like a “mamon”.  But once you play with your spoon tasting it, the texture is very rich.  This is also good for sharing.

Actually, I reserved half of it for my daughter but I ended up eating the left-over in the afternoon.

Even it was a scourging afternoon, meeting a  friend is always a blissful feeling.

One thing for sure, a good friend would always be a star in a sky.  Seldom that you see them but you know they are always there with you.
