Krazy Garlik would be a fave foodie place of my fellow consultants in Greenbelt and my family in Alabang as we were crazy with their infused galicky meal like our fave Hara Kiri Fried Rice, Garlic Snowflakes Pizza and Garlicky Crispy Pata.
It’s nice to be back in a Monday evening with hubby to try new additional to their menu, again with a variety of garlic flavors to enjoy.
To start with, a concoction of summer cocktail drinks to freshen up the night were served to us. Take note, it has a garlic at the top of it. It’s my first time to try a garlic in my drink. Its not bad at all.
While waiting for our main dish, Garlik Hummus is served for appetizer. It’s a creamy combination of chickpeas and sesame paste served with tortilla and sourdough bread. I find the tortilla not that soft enough and too oily for my taste palate.
After my quest to healthy food, I found myself enjoying the salad always like this Roasted Tomato Salad served to us which taste good and yummy. Its a medley of roasted tomatoes, mesclun greens, dried figs, feta cheese, and cashew nuts tossed in homemade garlic vinaigrette dressing topped with black olives and croutons.
Grilled Riblets with barbeque sauce and garlic marble potatoes was our first main course where meat falls easily to the bones. The poured barbeque sauce makes this meal a mouthwatering plate.
For rice which is a meal on its own is the Chorizo Paella cooked with red bell peppers, black olives topped with roasted garlic and corned beef. Since the paella plate is too small for all the ingredients, thick rice crust at the bottom is visible. I find the taste too blant. Anyway, between Paella and Hara Kiri, I still love the rendition of spices and mixed flavor of Hara Kiri.
Remembering Caldereta with this Garlic Oxtail where the meat is soo tender and the tomato based sauce is flavorful. I am just use of looking for aromatic scent everytime I cook or taste this dish which I did not smell with this dish.
They have also introduced two desserts which is great for summer – Affogato Trifle and Krazy Mess.
Affogato Triffle is a vanilla based ice cream with coffee jelly, meringue, whipped cream topped with hot espesso shot to make it a bittersweet dessert.
While Krazy Mess is a luscious combination of layered frozen raspberry, Nata de Coco, meringue, whipped cream, and strawberry ice cream.
Between the two, I enjoyed more the Krazy Mess. My two cents with these desserts – maybe they can remove the meringue because when I crunch it together with ice cream, the taste is uber too sweet for me.
This is my plate which for me is quite filling already getting the portions of each dishes that were served. Overall, I was delighted more the fusion of savoring each taste rather than to fill up my stomach even it was dinner time then. Afterall, all the menu still glorifies the goodness of garlic.
