T.G.I.Friday’s is introducing Taste of America meals that gives a twist to capture our patriotic Filipino hearts.
TGI Friday’s offers their new dishes up to November 30, 2014 to all their branches that will make a twist on the usual dish that has a taste of America.
For a start, I preferred the Carrot-Apple juice which always goes well with the sweetness and tartness taste which makes this drink not only healthy but invigorating up to the last sip.
Good thing they only topped those blueberry at the top and less the purple color which I preferred it more to taste the creaminess and thickness that made this drink delicious.
It is a spin-off on the traditional mashed potato and sometimes if one has a leftover of it, one can fry it and put some few ingredients, fried it to come up a dish in a snap. These potato cakes is a bit dry which supposed to be moist and savory. I commend with astounding presentation stuffed with caramelized onions, bacon and cheese sprinkled with horseradish cream.
The braised pork belly is well-seasoned and fried that creates the crackling sound once you chew it beside its softness and juiciness. We usually partnered mashed potatoes with steak. It’s a wild attempt though. They just have to know how to play around with the taste of mashed potatoes as I find it blunt in taste.
It is not a usual Caesar Salad you will find as those grilled plump shrimps makes it an enticing yet healthy appetizer. Veggies are crunchy in taste. Still, avoid drenching the salad with too much dressing to retain its freshness.
I usually did this kind of menu for a creamy pasta like carbonara when I found out that I was running out of bacon. Rice which is topped with crusty chicken breast, sliced ham, mushroom and mozzarella cheese is a rendition of another chicken menu which I find those breasts quite dry on my taste palette. Good thing, the velvety creamed mozzarella saved this dish to make it more rich and soft on its own.
Capping our meal with ultimate indulgence for chocolate lovers like us. Those layers of crumbly cookies, rich mocha cake topped with chocolate syrup and almond nuts is such a divine dessert.
This square size slice rich chocolate brownie topped with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream covered with hot fudge sprinkled with nuts would satisfy each chocolate desires.
Overall, I still commend TGIFriday’s to come up with irresistible dishes like this. Definitely, will look forward for another batch of dishes they will be offering for the coming months.
