Buendia along Makati Avenue would be our ride going home Laguna either in Edsa or LRT. But before that, we look for nearby restaurants to bring some treats for kiddos. One of them is Angel’s Pizza which is just two blocks away that we can walk for 5 minutes.
We were sad then when we saw a signage that the store was renovating last summer.
When I saw in their social media feeds that they were opened already, I can’t wait to go there after office. What I did was to order thru phone to savor the missed feeling of indulging my fave Angel’s Style pizza flavor.
I just saw those interior change in their feeds. Still, my itchy feet love to see it personally.
Even the logo has changed. No halo within the name of Angel’s Pizza.
What attracted me is their art display in making the pizza that transformed into quaint yet classy, rustic interior.
Who would tell this is a fast food chain?

The look elevated to a cozy feeling of dining in with a twist of minimalist design around. It was decorated with different textures and undertones to make the long neutral dining area come to life. Great pair with clear chairs and black tables that made a luxe spin of woodsy interior
If the flair area change, I was worried about the taste of my favorite pizza and pasta.
Is it?
Taste was elevated. One can also ordered by sliced, dining in with drinks for only P 80.00. If that is the case, what we did was to dig-in with different flavors.
Pizza flavors:
- Cheesy Burger
- Chicken Aloha
- Extra Feast
- Pepperoni
Still, all were served hot.
Even I got to try a bite with it, fresh with quality ingredients that made an enriching yet a full meal – from sauces, veggies, meat, cheeses while the crust is hand tossed.
I cannot get over with Chicken Aloha which become already one of my favorites – a bbq chicken chunks, ham, bacon, pineapple, green pepper with mozzarella cheese. I love the tangy flavor of bbq sauce that drizzled within the pizza.
Pasta served:
- Lasagna
- Carbonara
- Mac ‘n’ Cheese
All pasta are cook evenly and still retain its elasticity. No sign also of overcook like fractures. For the sauce, meats, cheese used, all are rich in taste and soo good.
Surprisingly, Mac n Cheese caught my heart – creamy sauce, chewy pasta and the melted cheese spread all over that made it extra decadent and a comfort food in a bowl.

Did I mentioned that they also serving Tacos that I also enjoyed a lot – crispy shell fresh, luscious cheese, seasoned meat, fresh lettuce and tomatoes and a little kick of mild sauce.
My only comment is to put a stand in between tacos to hold it. There are tendencies it would fall off.
