Ending my week by attending the opening of Experience NZ featuring the best of New Zealand from dairy products to wines and meat last June 20 at the Glorietta Activity Center, Palm Drive.
The plan then was just to drop by and to check the travel package option offered by Singaporean Airlines to various New Zealand tours which I shared with The Road Trippers website.

But because of the festive celebration around, maybe I need this break once in a while. Anyway, its Friday and who can resist a travel and food trade fair that New Zealand is offering.
As the program started, a special Kapa Haka by a traditional Maori arts group performed as I was amused to see for the first time this traditional welcome dance.
There were lot of food that were served during the program but what I enjoyed most on that night were Crusted Rosemary Lamb and the Baked Mussels topped with Mozzarela Cheese prepared by Bizu which was best partnered either with Red or White Wine. Those were some of the sample food products from New Zealand.
After the program, we go around to check the trade fair. There were 20 exhibitors of various products like:
- Fonterra Brands they showcase their butter, cheeses and milk.
- Canary butter sheets
- Whittaker’s chocolates
- New Zealand Natural Ice Cream
- Cambert Pilipinas that offers Easiyo DIY Yogurt
- My Own Meatshop and WestPac Meat Processing with lamb, beef and oysters
- Federated Distributors for Palm Corned Beef
The Whittaker’s dark chocolate taste real chocolatey and not too sweet. I even hid one part of the bar to my kiddos because I cannot forget the bursting flavor of cacao.
New Zealand Natural Ice Cream would always be my favorite as I found myself indulging those cup of hokey pokey at their Megamall branch whenever I crave for something rich and creamy in taste.
Palm Corned Beef as we bought it home which become not only our breakfast that I turned it into omelet while the rest served it during lunch time with cube potatoes. I mixed it also with Spaghetti sauce as I prepare our merienda to make it more flavorful to eat. The chunks of beef flavor is very fresh and tasty even it is in canned.
For one night, Experience NZ trade fair is such a bliss of learning not just to discover those vast attraction of New Zealand but to appreciate their culture and what are some of the trades they can offer which is something for everyone to reach and enjoy at the same time. Definitely, I will crave for more.
