Last week, I was invited for an intimate lunch together with hubby for an Advance Father’s Day celebration at Stella Wood Fire Bistro located in Bonifacio Global City.

Together with Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) and S&R,  they introduced us to Australian Beef or simple “Aussie Beef”.

But who is Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA)?

Meat and Livestock Australia is a trade organization owned by cattle producers in Australia. It provides research for the Australian red meat and livestock industry and promotes Australia beef and lamb in local and international markets.

In the Philippines, MLA undertakes promotion activities directly among retail consumers and food service outlets to highlight Australian red meat’s versatility, enjoyment and value for money, with a particular focus on the nutritional role of red meat in a healthy diet.

I love the idea of personalizing my name on the card which has a range of  descriptive menu inside as what we will be expecting for lunch.

For starter and still waiting for others to come, we were served slices of bread and dipping tomato based sauce.

From appetizer, salad and finally the main course, Stella Wood Fire Bistro painstakingly crafted these set of meal  using Aussie beef of MLA.

To tell you honestly, I am not more on the carnivore or a meat eater.  Formerly then, I was  a veggie person.  Still, protein and iron content got low and medicine intake was not option since there were side effects when I was taking it.   I have no choice but to put meats on my meal – even a bite of it.

Would you believe that I ate the whole cube of meat in one seating which was quite a surprise with hubby.  Actually, he was already telling me if ever I cannot consume them, he was ready to eat my leftover.

Anyway, when I tasted MLA’s Aussie red beef in medium rare cooking,  the meat is lean and flavorful.  The deep woody taste done by Stella complimented the juiciness and tenderness of the meat.

For the last hurrah, the creme brulee accentuated inside the egg shell made a perfect dessert which is very creamy yet not too sweet.

For Father’s Day Celebration this June 15, MLA has partnered with S&R and Austrade to taste the Aussie beef with a promo for the month of June:

  • For every purchase of 2 kilos of Australian beef at any S&R branch until June 15, customers are entitled to draw from a lot and bring home any one of the following prizes like  indoor grill, charbroiled grill, food thong, Australian Red Wine or recipe booklet
  • While from June 14 to 30, diners at Cyma, Allium and Madison’s Bistro Moderne who will order any entree made with Australian beef can get a special Father’s Day mug

Now my problem is solve for Father’s Day Celebration.  Since we are on the tight budget at the moment because of school expenses and treating / dining out is not a choice, maybe a home cook steak would be a best alternative for hubby.

Thanks to MLA for the cut choices and ready to cook sirloin / rib eye as family is now excited to prepare them.  I will definitely  be sharing the beef steak recipe of my daughter who always cook for special occasion like this.

Again, our advance greetings to fathers out there.  You truly deserve a break because this is your day!
